No, You’re Not Crazy

No, you’re not crazy. You’re living in a period of rapid change in a society full of unhealthy coping mechanisms. Almost all of my clients recently have brought up concerns around dramatically increased levels of anxiety and anger. They know navigating the pandemic is a factor but it unnerves them how often they don’t feel like themselves. Naturally, that exacerbates their stress and triggers self-doubt. My hope is that this episode can support clarity and relieve some of that stress. In the episode I offer both an understanding the social and psychological dynamics of this time and tools to support engaging it.

In this episode of Unlimited, the podcast, I engage why you may be feeling crazy right now and what you can do to support yourself.

Some of what I’ll cover in this episode include:

  • What a period of anomie looks like
  • Gaslighting and how it’s showing up in our lives
  • Shifting how you think about and engage stress
  • Intentionally connecting to your values and setting boundaries
  • Visioning through risk assessment

There are important changes that need our intentional engagement. In order to do that we must step outside of the pull to reclaim norms that aren’t healthy and courageously lean into creating new norms. This is messy and hard. It’s made harder because this period of change is fertile ground for gaslighting, an already all too common technique in our society. I believe we can and must evolve. Supporting you in it and through it is why I’m here.
